Sunny, Cloudy, and Rainy?
晴れの日 = Sunny day
Hiragana:はれのひ
Romanized: Hare no hi
“晴れの日” is normally used to express a sunny day. However, we normally just say “晴れ” for a sunny day. As a verb, you can say “晴れる”.
For example, if you want to say “The sky cleared up.”, you can say “空が晴れた。”.
空が晴れた。―そらがはれた。―Sora ga hareta.
曇りの日 = Cloudy day
Hiragana:くもりのひ
Romanized: Kumori no hi
This is the word that can be used to say “Cloudy” in Japanese. However, we normally just say “曇り” for a cloudy day. The verb of the “曇り” is “曇る”.
雨の日 = Rainy day
Hiragana:あめのひ
Romanized: Ame no hi
You can use this phrase when you want to say “Rainy day”.
However, we normally just say “雨” for a rainy day.
We also have some expressions to express the word related to rain.
We have 梅雨(つゆ), which you can use for the specific rainy season around June and July, and 大雨(おおあめ), which expresses “heavy rain”.
雪の日 = snowy day
Hiragana:ゆきのひ
Romanized: Yuki no hi
“雪の日” is normally used to say snowy day. However, we normally just say “雪” for a snowy day. We also say heavy snow as “大雪”, which is a similar pattern to heavy rain.
台風 = typhoon
Hiragana:たいふう
Romanized:Taifū
It is a word to say “typhoon” in Japan. I read a news article that said that we have around 25 typhoons in one year on average. Of course, it depends on each year, but be careful if you want to move to Japan!
雷 = thunder
Hiragana:かみなり

You can use 雷 to express “thunder” in Japanese.
